Pretty in Pink

Kelsey got her cast - and it's pink! The orthopedic says both bones in the wrist were fractured. She is scheduled to be in this cast for 3 weeks. We plan to see an orthopedic in SC before our departure to Zambia. She may at that time get a shorter cast or a brace. Please continue to pray for her healing and recovery. She's actually having a good time letting all her TCK friends sign her cast.

Blessings

We are so blessed with 3 wonderful children who have shocked us during this orientation experience. Austin has astounded us with his changes in personality. He is still a bit shy, but he is improving on talking more around adults. We have an on-going joke about how he will not smile around adults, so we wanted to share this great pic with everyone since it's not very often we see his beautiful smile. Coby has grown spiritually over the past few months and is not afraid to share his thoughts and Biblical insights during our small group time. And Miss Kelsey is letting everyone know who's the "boss". She pretends to be shy, but she really loves the attention she is getting in our small group. These moments we have with our children are few and precious as they grow up too fast. Today-- let your kids know you love them!

Uh-Oh

Yesterday (Sunday), Kelsey fell off the swing set and broke her wrist. She has a splint on it for now until we meet with the orthopedic dr. She is in good spirits. Please remember her in your prayers. The diagnosis was a buckle fracture to the right radius. We will post again with an update from the ortho.

October 16th – Fly out of Columbia, SC- 7:00pm
October 18th – Arrive in Zambia, Africa-6:15am (6 hours ahead of SC)

Once we arrive in Zambia, we will have a week to settle into our place of residence before beginning our 40 Days and 40 Nights Orientation Safari. This begins October 24th and ends November 23rd. During this time we will not be able to communicate via email, phone, or other means.
Prayer Requests:
· IMB Commissioning on October 2nd – pray for safety of family traveling to see us, and for safety coming home on October 3rd.
· Austin, Coby & Kelsey saying good-bye to all their friends at FPO.
· Our people group in Zambia that God would continue preparing their hearts to hear the Gospel.
